For Assistance Call Consumers for Affordable Health Care:

Not Sure?

Here’s a place to start.

There are a variety of programs that could help you with the cost of health insurance. MaineCare (Maine’s Medicaid program), and the Federal Marketplace are two programs that offer free, low-cost, or discounted health insurance, but everyone’s situation is different. Your choices will depend on things like your household size, income, age and other factors. This website will help you learn about MaineCare and who can qualify and also has information about health insurance options through the Federal Marketplace.

If you are confused or have questions about whether you should be looking at Marketplace or MaineCare, please give Consumers for Affordable Health Care’s free HelpLine a call: 1-800-965-7476 or email us at helpline@mainecahc.org. Our dedicated team are available Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. We try our best to respond to all messages within 24 hours.
